The purpose of the workshop was to address the current issues in parliamentary research and broaden the research agenda. The workshop has offered the opportunity for discussion of the final results and theoretical contributions of the WP3 ?Representationand Institutional Make-up to the RECON Project. The programme was organized around three topics: (1) Patterns of parliaments´ functioning within transnational governance; (2) Transforming linkages between democratic legitimacy, representation and accountability, problems of representation, effects of transnationalisation of political parties, recruitment patterns and career patterns of MPs in the system of multilevel governance; (3) Legitimacy and accountability, interaction between parliaments, organized interest groups, civil society organizations, as well as lobbying groups.
