Beitrag Hans Vredeman de Vries und die böhmische Architektur beschäftigt sich zuerst mit einer Rekapitulation der Tätigkeit des Architekten und Universalkünstlers am Hofe des Kaisers Rudolf II. In den Jahren 1597-1598. Der Beitrag basiert allerding mehrauf der Bewertung des Einflusses des Architekten auf die Bautätigkeit in Böhmen und Mähren anhand der exemplarischen Beispielen - Stadttore, Portale, Bemalte Fassaden, Interieurdekoration, Grabmäler usw. Manche diese Beispiele gehören zugleich zu den bedeutendsten Leistungen im mitteleuropäischen Rahmen - Mausoleum der Habsburger in St-Veits-Dom in Prag, die Kaisermüle in Prag u.s.w.

The Study Hans Vredeman de Vries and the Architecture in Czech Lands deals at first with the summary about the activity of this excellent Architect and 'uomo universale' at the court of the emperor Rudolf II in 1597-1598. Nevertheless the accent is put on the evaluation of his influence on the architecture in Bohemia and Moravia in the second half of the sixteenth Century. The method applied for this aim was to display typical examples of use patterns brought from Vredeman's books and engraving series -gates, portals, painted facades, epitaphs, interior decorations etc. Some of these examples belong to the most important solutions in Central Europe - e.g. Habsburg mausoleum in St.Vitus cathedral in Prague, Imperial Mill in Prague a.o.
