The paper focuses on history of Eiland Glassworks on the Děčín Estate of Count Maximilian Thun-Hohenstein, founded by an important Hessen glassmaker George Gundelach. On the bases of iconographical analysis, it is trying to connect this glassworks with some luxurious 17th century glass objects. The conclusions of artistic and historical research were further verified by chemical and physical analysis of material, from which these objects were made.
