Der Artikel untersucht die Iniziative der Königsaaler Zisterzienser auf dem Feld der bildenden Kunst und des historiographishen Schriftums in der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts, die mit dem Ziel betrieben wurde, den besonderen Status des Klosters unter der Rücksicht seiner vormaligen Stellung im mittelalterlichen Böhmen wiederzuerhalten.
