Popis výsledku v původním jazyce

Předkládaný text s přiloženou edicí rukopisů Jana Quirina Jahna (1739–1802) se zabývá vztahem mezi dílem dřevorytce a grafika Jana Willenberga (1571–1613) a recepcí jeho tvorby v literární práci malíře a erudity Jana Quirina Jahna. Právě Willenbergovy kresby českých měst a hradů, známé dnes jako tzv. Strahovský skicář, byly a měly být Jahnovi podkladem pro studie věnované dějinám hradní a městské architektury, z nichž v Jahnově době byla publikována pouze ta, která popisuje hradní architekturu — Historische Bemerkungen über die ehemaligen festen Schlösser und Bürgen in Böhmen bis zum dreissigjährigen Kriege. Tu publikoval roku 1797 v kulturně literárním časopise Apollo vydávaném jeho přítelem Augustem Gottliebem Meissnerem. Druhou studii, kterou zamýšlel popsat dějiny městské architektury a pro níž měl jako podklad sloužit rukopis Vor dem 30 Jährigen Krieg. Von den Städten Jahn z neznámých důvodů již nepublikoval. Současně se článek zaměřuje na srovnání nejen Jahnových vlastních textů topografického zaměření, ale i dobové literatury obdobné orientace. Na posledním místě studie také přináší nové informace týkající se původní provenience Willenbergových kreseb.

The present text, together with the attached edition of the manuscripts of Jan Quirin Jahn (1739–1802), examines the relationship between the work of the woodcutter and graphic artist Jan Willenberg (1571–1613) and the reception of his oeuvre in the literary work of the painter and erudite scholar Jan Quirin Jahn. It was specifically Willenberg’s drawings of Bohemian towns and castles, known today as the so-called Strahov Sketchbook, that served—and were intended to serve—as Jahn’s source material for studies devoted to the history of castle and urban architecture. Of these, only the study describing castle architecture was published during Jahn’s lifetime: Historische Bemerkungen über die ehemaligen festen Schlösser und Bürgen in Böhmen bis zum dreissigjährigen Kriege. He published it in 1797 in the cultural and literary journal Apollo, edited by his friend August Gottlieb Meissner. The second study, in which he intended to describe the history of urban architecture and for which the manuscript Vor dem 30 Jährigen Krieg. Von den Städten was supposed to serve as a basis, was never published by Jahn for unknown reasons. At the same time, the article focuses on comparing not only Jahn’s own texts of a topographical nature, but also contemporary literature of similar orientation. Finally, the study also brings new information concerning the original provenance of Willenberg’s drawings.
