The book contains the English translation of the case study focused on the works of art held in the Museum of the Decorative Arts in Prague and identified by the researchers of the Documentation Centre for Property Transfers of Cultural Assets of WW II Victims as the Jewish property, confiscated to the Holocaust victims during the WW II. in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The detailed descriptions have been made not only of the objects held by the Museum of Decorative Arts but also of items that have been transferred from the Museum to the other institutions. The main emphasis in this case study is especially put on the activities of Prague?s Treuhandstelle which was responsible for the storage and administration of the stolen art collectionsduring the war. The publication also includes information on the places where the looted objects were stored and the preface of dr. Helena Koenigsmarkova, directress of Museum of Decorative Arts in Prague.
