Die Studie beleuchtet ein kaum bekanntes Kapitel der tschechischen Zeitgeschichte: Den Aufstand der Untergrundbewegung unter der Führung des Tschechischen Nationalrates gegen die deutschen Besatzer am 5. Mai 1945. Die Publikation leistet eine präzise Beschreibung des Aufstands, die Dramatik des gesamten Geschehens deutlich werden lässt, und bettet die Untersuchung in den Kontext der detschen und alliierten Politik- und Militärstrategie ein.
