Eine traditionelle Art der Streikbewegung, deren Ziel es war, bessere Löhne zu erzielen, wurde hauptsächlich in der Anfangsphase der nationalsozialistischen Besatzung gesehen. Zwischen 1943 und 1944 gab es nur wenige Streiks, die spontan ausbrachen.
