El artículo analiza las Casas de la Cultura Checoslovaca en La Habana (1962) y Cubana en Praga (1963) como instrumentos de poder blando durante la Guerra Fría. Ambas instituciones funcionaron como espacios de diplomacia cultural, intercambio artístico y proyección ideológica en el marco del internacionalismo socialista. El estudio muestra cómo sus agendas oscilaron entre objetivos políticos, edutainment y ambiciones comerciales, reflejando tanto cooperación como tensiones entre Cuba y Checoslovaquia. A través de documentos diplomáticos, prensa y testimonios orales, se reconstruyen sus dinámicas como zonas de contacto en el espacio euroamericano de los sesenta.

The article examines the Czechoslovak House of Culture in Havana (1962) and the Cuban House of Culture in Prague (1963) as instruments of soft power during the Cold War. Both institutions acted as arenas of cultural diplomacy, artistic exchange, and ideological projection within the framework of socialist internationalism. Their agendas combined political objectives, edutainment, and commercial ambitions, reflecting both cooperation and tensions between Cuba and Czechoslovakia. Drawing on diplomatic documents, press materials, and oral history, the study reconstructs their dynamics as contact zones in the Euro-American space of the 1960s.
