Cold-formed beams of Z-shaped section that are stabilised by roofing providing lateral and spring rotational restraint to the top flange of the beam, were studied. Distortion of the cross-section due to torsion, inelastic reserve for sagging moment areasand moment-rotation relation at internal support of continuous beams were studied. Two different sets of experiments were executed. FEM modelling using program ANSYS was made. Folded plate method was used for torsion stresses analysis.
