Noise Reducing Devices in the Construction of Tram Permanent Way in Prague
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Tram transport, with 270 km of tracks and a capacity reaching one million passengers every day, is one of essential means of public mass transport in Prague. As it provides transport service mainly in areas with a high density of living or working people, reduction of its noise is strongly required. This paper deals with the results of acoustical measurements which were performed in 1997 - 2003 on different structures of permanent way of tram tracks in Prague. Measured noise pressure levels of tram train passes were continuously recorded on a measuring tape-recorder and then processed in laboratory on different anylyzers. Apart from the commonly used evaluation method applying equivalent noise pressure levels, the possibilities of evaluation were further extended by means of applying the spectra of average noise pressure levels and the multispectra of noise pressure levels, which allows high-quality characterization of the acoustical behaviour of tram tracks and their changes.
