Qualitative Properties of the Weak Solution of the First Problem in Plasticity Theory

The goal of this paper is to prove the existence and uniqueness of the weak solution of the boundary value problem for the first problem in plasticity theory. We consider the general constitutive equations for elasto-plastic materials with internal statevariables. We use the fixed point theorem for contractive mapping and Lax-Milgram theorem to prove the general properties of the weak solution in Sobolev spaces.
