During the second phase of the FLAMIS project detailed 2D numerical models for the towns Tabor, Sezimovo Usti, Plana, Sobeslav and Veseli nad Luznici were created and calibrated using the available calibration data from the flood episode in August 2002.The models were used to simulate floods with peak discharges at different return periods. Selected flood hazard variables were evaluated in graphical form as flood maps containing flooding lines and evaluation of various flood variables (water elevation,water depth, flow velocities). Data collection was done for economic risk analysis. The data in pilot areas were collected by detailed site investigation. For the economic risk analysis various damages (buildings, household equipment, equipment of municipal facilities, infrastructure, roads, bridges, industry, agriculture, hydraulic structures and river) were taken into account.
