The statistical multiple regression methods were employed for the study of rainfall-outflow relationship at Uhlírská catchment. 27 rainfall-outflow episodes were selected. The results of the analysis demonstrate that the outflow from the Uhlírská catchment is well described by the combination of the parameters: depth of rainfall and the initial depth of water in the soil profile. The initial depth of water in the soil profile and consequently the initial soil moisture content is the statistically significant parameter that influences the runoff forming process.
