This article deals with numerical modelling of contamination spread in the Visual Modflow programme in a locality near Bzenec. From the 1970s to the 1990s, this locality was subjected to groundwater contamination by chlorohydrocarbons (PCE, TCE, DCE). The locality is known for its drinking water supplies, which serve for over 100000 people. The locality remediation has been in process, with several breaks caused by funding problems, since 1992. In relation to numerical modelling, first a groundwater flow model was created, which was calibrated and verified in steady state. Further on, contamination spread was modelled. The total time of contamination spread (30 years) was subdivided into several time periods in which a steady groundwater flow pattern was considered. The modelling of contamination spread was solved by using several scenarios.
