Regional models, however, do not work precisely enough to enable us to see what is occuring in the varied Czech landscape. Not only the orography, but also the conflict of the continental and oceanic climates in our longitudes and latitudes do not permitsuch a regional model to work. For this reason, this project is exactly what is needed for researching climate change in several river basins in the Czech Republic. Detailed data were bought from the Czech Hydrometeorological Institute that described the conditions in four different small river basins (average daily runoff, average daily rainfall, average daily temperature). All these data had to be transfered into an identical format so that more detailed analysis could be carried out.
