The article describes the possibilities how to deal with restrictions of external costs. Besides Pigou tax introduces other possibilities as government regulation, limit permissions or own government activity. Another way, which is introduced in the fight against externalities, is the internatialization of external costs in the form of traffic infrastructure pricing.
