Different Influences to Shear Adhesive Joint in Glass Structures
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
There were performed numerous experiments focused on different joining material (steel, stainless steel, aluminium + glass, glass + glass) including their surface treatment (sandblasted glass) for 5 various types of glue applied at different thickness. Sphere of interest covered also environmental influences. There were proved that sandblasted glass surface can improve shear strength values, if pure cohesive mode of failure is not reached at joint with smooth glass surface. No decreasing strength valuesof sandblasted glass were observed because the cohesive strength of adhesive was crucial in the glued joints. The influence of different metal materials in glued connection was not decisive. Shear strength decreased with higher adhesive thickness especially at semi-rigid (acrylic) adhesive. Environmental influences were the most noticeable at UV-curing adhesives.
