Measurement of hydration power and heat of hydration of Portland cement with fine ceramic dust using isothermal calorimetry
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Use of industrial wastes in concrete production is a way to lower environmental impact of construction processes. The rate of growth of waste generation in the ceramic industry has induced a need to find a solution for its recycling. Cement production belongs to the prospective sectors where this recycling is pos-sible. Ceramic products are produced from natural raw materials which contain a high content of clay miner-als. Thus, they conveniently can be used as supplementary cementing materials. In thispaper, the hydration power and hydration heat of blended cements containing Portland cement CEM I 42.5 R and ceramic dust are investigated using isothermal calorimetry. Samples of Portland cement mortars with fine ceramic dust in the amount of 10, 20, 30 and 40 % of the mass of cement are analyzed and the effect of different content of ceramic dust on the hydration power and heat of hydration is studied. Experimental results show a decreasing effect on hydration power of the ceramics as
