Changes of the Dynamic Modulus of Elasticity in Dependence on the Number of the Freeze-Thaw Cycles
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper presents the determination of the modulus of elasticity on gypsum samples using the nondestructive impulse excitation method. The great advantage of non-destructive testing, compared to destructive, is that still the same sample is tested and it excludes various negative effects. The paper presents the development of modulus of elasticity on gypsum samples according to the number of freeze-thaw cycles. For cyclic loading, the samples were saturated with water at 20 °C and tested in 8-hour cycles. Samples were removed from the water bath and placed in a freezer with a temperature lower than -20 °C and after 8 hours they were placed again in the water bath for a period of eight hours. The difference from 'dry' frost resistance was that the samples of hardened plaster were exposed to "wet" frost resistance, i.e. to the extreme load of the samples with the external climatic conditions.
