Characteristics of selected bituminous binders with high-speed grinded crumb rubber
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Research into high energy milling (HEM) and high-speed grinding (HSG) in traditional devices like disintegrators has been run worldwide for roughly 30 years, reaching increased interest during last 15 years. Numerous examples of potential applications ofHEM in diverse branches of industrial activity have been described. The activity performed at the Department of Road Structures of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, CTU in Prague in co-operation with external partners in the last two years has involvedthe investigation of further grinding (pulverization) of traditional crumb rubber to gain particles <1mm. Different types of grinded rubber have been applied in amount of 10-20 % in distilled bitumen with or without additional additives. The effect of rubber grinding including the potential improvements by used additives has been assessed by traditional tests (softening point, penetration, elastic recovery, dynamic viscosity and storage stability test) as well as by performance-based tes
