Pre-stressed membrane structures are becoming more and more popular in modern architecture mainly because of their unique design, low self weight and possibility to span even large distances without internal support. Different shapes of the membrane structures are available and response to the stress design of the structure. Steel substructure plays significant role in behaviour of the membrane and must be taken into account together with the membrane itself.
