The paper focuses on the topic of the transport infrastructure construction ? mainly highway construction - when dealing with implementation of the Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the construction market. Transport infrastructure construction sector plays a very important role in the construction industry, especially for public sector, where infrastructure makes up an important share of all funds dedicated for construction projects. When BIM tools are used, the one who usually benefits the most is the owner. Therefore a public sector as a main transport infrastructure construction investor should benefit from the use of BIM. In spite of that, when BIM implementation is being discussed in literature, on the internet or in marketing materials, thediscussion is mainly about using BIM in building construction.
