Determining of the shifts and deformations is a common part of geodetic work in the construction, in engineering and in deformation monitoring of natural formations such as slopes, rocks and other general landslide areas. Geodetic measurement methods maybe used various including theodolites and total stations, GNSS devices or photogrammetry and 3D (laser) scanning. Modern knowledge utilization of surveying, however, should include a detailed analysis of the accuracy of measurement, not only before, during and after measurement for assessing the accuracy of measurement at one epoch, but also the proper comparison of the results of the individual epochs and their correct evaluation in terms of size and significance of the shift due to measurement errors. The basic premise is to obtain the coordinates of monitored points at various stages along with comprehensive information on their accuracy in the form of covariance matrix, without these two the assessment information cannot be done co
