Numerical and physical modeling of rock bumps
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The problem of bumps in deep mines, which can occur during longwall mining, for example, belongs to the most serious tasks for mining engineers, as if it appears it causes fatal disasters. Extremely high energy is concentrated in the front and side partsof excavation and under some triggering conditions (exceeding critical energy, wave of underground excitations due to bumps at other location, underground explosion of gas, etc.) it is released. In order to assure the correctness of the mechanical parameters ?in situ? measurement can be performed. Such an approach requires very high financial dermands and can be applied to only small number of locations. Knowing the material properties from on site tests, scale models (physical equivalent models) are used instead and laboratory tests should be carried out with a much lower cost. The numerical models then utilize the results from the scale modeling and the results from numerical tests are relatively very true. This approach is sometimes
