There are many errors in Czech cadastral maps which could be caused by different root causes. Sometimes it is difficult to distinguish an error from a proper map object because the cadastral map represents the property ownership. Consequently, cadastralparcels do not always correspond to land cover boundaries. Nowadays, we are able to extract a lot of information about land cover boundaries via processing of remote sensing data depending on its quality. This opens a new space for comparing cadastral maps to remote sensing products. In Czech Republic there are many useful remote sensing products available (e.g. orthophotos or elevation models). Besides, there is 88,1% of cadastral maps digitalized and the digitalization process is still ongoing. The main objective of author?s research is to develop a new method for comparing remote sensing data with digital cadastral maps which should lead to determine areas in cadastral maps where errors could occur. But first it is necessary to go th
