PPP projects for transport constructions with respect to the life cycle costs in the Czech Republic
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The European countries applied already a lot of the Public Private Partnership (PPP) projects, when developing the transportation infrastructure. They are all led by Netherlands, Germany, Poland and Hungary. Hundreds of km was built in these countries with the help of the PPP model and they will continue with the future development in the same manner. Unfortunately, Czech Republic (CR) did not develop a single km of highway or motorway, with the PPP method of constructing and operating. In consideration with current Ministry of Traffic view, this article focuses on rediscovery of the professional discussion over the PPP project realization in CR. This means proving the economical profitability for the highway route construction, developed with the PPP project in comparison with the usual method. While financial-economical aspects are applied and future economical development for the transportation construction is predicted. Another goal for this article is to help to find the most effective solution to secure sustainable speed of construction after the year 2023. Several EU funds will stop the generous financing of the projects in CR, this year. Yet, there is still commitment of the State, to finish the Trans-European Transport Networks in CR until the end of year 2030, that is why it is necessary to gain the experience, when there is still time. The results and recommendations are addressed to the Ministry of Traffic and Directorate of Highway and Motorway in CR.
