The present research deals with the relevant problem of preservation and adaptive reuse of industrial heritage architecture in the Czech Republic. The modern society has changed the approach of comprehension of industrial architecture typology at the beginning of the post- industrial period. As a result, the industrial architecture has lost the functionality. Most significant industrial buildings, as well as browrifield sites from the I 8th to the early 20th century, are devastated or with ineffective or inactive manufacture nowadays. It is important to make scientific research on a typology of industrial heritage architecture for the future preservation and adaptive reuse. The purpose of the present research is developing and presentation of the Classification model of industrial heritage architecture typoiogy as the logical base of Suitability Analysis Methodology for the preservation and adaptive reuse. There are supposed most important features and configurations of the topology of industrial heritage architecture in the Czech Republic as the logical base (major criteria) of Suitability Analysis Methodology in the frame of complex system of preservation methods and adaptive reuse approaches.
