Education in Protection against Misapplication and Misuse of Sustainable Building Activities
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The paper presents a survey of problems and dangers that may arise in association with deployment of and during activities centered on sustainable building. Education in this area should prevent corruption of sustainable building objectives, and prevent formation of similar problems that are known to have arisen in various other more or less related areas and that are known to have caused heavy financial, social and moral burdens. Problems of misapplication and misuse are being divided into two groups. One group includes problems inherent to the sustainable building philosophy. This paper concentrates on the other group—misapplication and misuse that is external to sustainable building area, originating in surroundings thereof. These problems are caused, intentionally or not, by participants of any type—implementers, owners of various outputs, lawmakers, adopters and applicators, and so on. One of the objectives is to set up categories for such problems and dangers. Analogies found in various other areas were also explored to this end. The sources and actors of the dangers are examined, eventually with possible protective strategies. This forms the basis for proposals on how to avoid or resolve misuse and misapplication problems and dangers. If education in sustainable building areas touches these dangers of misuse and misapplication, the concept of sustainable building may better withstand these dangers—knowledge is power.
