Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The purpose of the paper is to introduce a research project “Research and development of validated models of fire and evacuation and their practical application in fire safety of buildings“ being currently in progress at Czech technical university in Prague in cooperation with Technical university of Ostrava, Brno university of technology and Technical institute of fire protection. The objective of the project is to describe the issue of advanced modelling in fire safety design of buildings in relation to the Czech designers, fire engineers and manufacturers of building structures, prevention and fire investigators. Outputs of the project are summarized in four methodologies which cover three elemental parts of fire safety design - modelling of fire, modelling and assessment of the reliability of structures and modelling of evacuation of people. Moreover, one methodology deals with modelling of extinguishing of fire. In particular, the project describes modern software tools used to analyze individual problems of fire safety to verify their reliability and practical application. The paper also introduces an example of virtual test of fire resistance in a furnace to show benefits of advanced prediction method using CFD analysis.
