The competition focused on the restoration and future development of a 19th-century textile factory site associated with the Löw-Beer family and Oskar Schindler, linked to the wartime rescue of approximately 1,200 Jews and the story known as Schindler's Ark. It invited proposals to create a dignified memorial and “Museum of Survivors,” preserve the legacy of Schindler’s camp, and define a broader masterplan: a northern zone with a business hub and educational spaces, and a southern zone with a sustainable living centre and senior housing.
