    This paper focuses on the experimental testing of the response of five and six-row systems of modular thin-walled silicate blocks to ballistic loading. In today’s world, there is an increasingly urgent need to develop and improve protective materials capable of withstanding the growing threats of ballistic origin. This study analysed five and six-row systems of thin-walled silicate blocks, offering significant advantages in modularity and easy installation. Experimental tests were conducted in which these blocks were subjected to various ballistic loads. The mentioned block was transported to the shooting range after production and curing as part of the experimental campaign. They were installed in a small part of the wall, which underwent ballistic testing. The calibres chosen for testing the specimens were in accordance with the highest classes from the standard ČSN EN 1522, namely 5.56x45, 7.62x51 SC, and 7.62x51 HC. The experiment results showed that both block structure designs met the standard ČSN EN 1522 requirements and achieved the highest ballistic class FB7. The difference in projectile penetration or sample damage in relation to the design of internal wall structures was minimal, and no significant differences were demonstrated under the conditions of this research. The conclusions of this study are crucial for the further development and optimisation of modern protective systems. The results lay a foundation for designing effective and reliable constructions using modular thin-walled silicate blocks in ballistic protection.
