Třetí ročník konference "Tradiční městské stavitelství 19. a 20. století" doktorských studijních programů je problematika obnovy a udržitelnosti městské architektury s důrazem na hodnoty, které přinášejí historické stavby do moderního městského prostředí. Cílem konference je propojit odborníky z oblasti architektury, památkové péče, urbanismu a stavebního inženýrství, aby společně diskutovali o aktuálních výzvách spojených s ochranou a obnovou historického stavebního fondu. Důraz na aktuálnost tohoto tématu vyplývá z vysokého počtu cenných objektů a urbanistických celků z 19. a 20. století, jejichž stavebně technický stav často vyžaduje odbornou rekonstrukci, renovaci nebo sanaci. Konference má 5 tematických okruhů: 1. Obnova historických staveb. 2. Urbanismus a historická struktura měst. 3. Památková péče v moderní době. 4. Udržitelnost v kontextu historické architektury. 5. Role komunit a veřejné správy.
