Local load Distribution on Flat Roofs with Trapezoidal Sheeting
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This paper presents results of a study focused on local load distribution in roofs with trapezoidal profiles. At present, the design of such roofs is generally approached rather conservatively, with all local loads typically assigned to the loaded rib. It may also follow the forthcoming standard. However, neither method takes any account of the presence of thermal insulation. The distribution was analyzed for a range of variables that may occur on real structures. These factors include mainly the presence and type of thermal insulation or the effect of cyclic and long-term load on the static behavior of the composition. For the basic analysis, an already existing experiment was used. This experiment was then extended by a series of additional tests focused on different loading parameters. A total of 20 large-scale experiments and two additional experiments using a reduced sample were conducted. The experiments also served to validate the FEM model developed in Abaqus software to analyze the load distribution depending on the static scheme. The experimentally determined values were then compared with the results of calculations according to currently valid methods. The main finding of this study is a new proposed procedure for the calculation of local load distribution for roof compositions with trapezoidal profile and mineral wool.
