The paper attempts ro outline the capabilities of the ESP-r simulation software used as a design tool for buildings and HVAC systems. The application of building performance simulation is illistrated by means of three recent studies. The paper elaboratesthe modelling and simulation work that was carried out to support the design teams of the three projects.
