Geometric Model of a Tongue During Phonation of the Vowel /A/
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The aim of this study was to investigate an effect of acuteness and intensity of phonation for shape and position of human tongue. That is crucial for creation of a parametric geometric model of human vocal tract for simulation and analysis of phonation. The geometric model of a tongue during phonation of the vowel /a/ was created. The model was based on images obtained from magnetic resonance imaging. Number of slices and their thickness were chosen with respect to ability of volunteer to keep phonation constant in time for one breath. The comfortable time of phonation was experimentally established to 15s.The measurements were carried out for 3 different acuteness and for 3 different intensity of phonation /a/. Tongue boundary was described by closedCoons spline . Phonation acuteness increase causes flattening of posterior tongue part and its translation in posterior direction. Phonation intensity increase causes flattening of posterior part and rise of anterior part of tongue.
