Using vibrations to improve heat exchange on thermal power station tube plate
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Thermal power station efficiency is greatly influenced by heat exchange between hot gases in the boiler and its steam ductwork. The hot gases however contains huge amount of flying ashes which stick to the tubes in high volumes and effectively isolate them from heat exchange. Current approach is based on steam washers inserted into the boiler. The temperature in the boiler is greatly decreased, so combustion process is negatively influenced. Recent approach is based on acoustic excitation by huge horns. It's industrial application is however based on trial and error approach, which provides quite stochastic result. The paper investigates the mechanism of acoustic pipe cleaning. Industrial measurements and experiments were carried on. Laboratory model of the tube plate was built and used for experiments with acoustic cleaning. The initial methodology for acoustic horn application is suggested, based modal and acoustic properties of the boiler with tube plates.
