The increasing demands for products are reflected even in the area of the productionof sheet metal stampings. In general, the goal is to achieve minimum produstion costs, shorten the production times or producemore complex stampings. One possibleway is to reduce the number of stamping operations, which means greater deformation of the material in each pressing operation. Themodern trend is to design pressings of small radii, which can causeconsiderable production problems.
