The main goal of this work is to determine isotropy (anisotropy) of the samples which were manufactured from C/PPS pellets with random orientation. Image processing analysis of the samples was done to detect the orientation of the pellets on the surface area. Image processing analysis of the samples was done to detect the orientation of the pellets on the surface area. Then mechanical characteristics of the samples were analytically calculated with the modification of classic lamination theory for randomly reinforced composites. FE simulation of the tensile test was done in software ABAQUS with material characteristics obtained by the analytical calculation. Verifying tensile tests based on ASTM D3039 were done on specimens cut from flat plates in both longitudinal a transversal direction.
