After the VAL 2015 Conference successfully ended, we wanted to thank you for taking so actively part in it. Some statistic numbers are useful: 137 participants from 26 countries registered 80 papers were delivered, 57 of them were presented orally in 20 sections 7 keynote lectures were presented 3 industry excursions and 2 guided visits to Prague were run 4 minisymposia were organized We hope you enjoyed all of that, and thank for all your positive remarks we have got. We are glad to see that the experiment with discussion clubs in minisymposia was well accepted, and so many people came. The lively discussions during social evenings but also during the individual coffee breaks proved that organizing conferences of VAL series makes sense. Therefore we are happy to hand over the relay-stick with VAL emblem to Morris Sonsino and Rüdiger Heim, who will organize the next volume in Darmstadt. You will be informed about all preparatory steps well in advance, but keep checking www.val-conf.org website from time to time if interested. All sponsors of the conference - nCode, Anton Paar, Engineering Center Steyr, Instron and Kite Group - are thanked. Keeping the conference adequately sized, while having only two parallel sessions, is costly, and only their financial input made it possible. At last, the chairmen of the conference would like to thank whole team of C-IN agency. One of us was all the time ill, but you could see that everything ran without any problem. The professional service, which C-IN delivered to you, was simply fantastic. It was very pleasant to be part of the conference. Thank you for making it possible by your personal participation.
