This work is done for increase safety of the personal cars. Passive safety of the vehicle is one of the basic parameter defining the overall safety of the vehicle. Emission limits force producers to reduce the weight of the vehicles. In this case usage of the composite material should be a solution for the stiff but lightweight construction. We focused on possibilities of the solution of the composite beam as the absorber of the kinetic energy. Several variants of the composite beam with the initiation part for control of the absorbing the energy by the cracking of the composite material were described. The absorbed energy should be controlled by the heat effect, by the delamination of the material or by the shape of the initiation part which have the variable shape. The experiments and the computational models will be made in the next years.
