Off-line 3D robot simulation for WAAM technology
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Industry 4.0 marks the current trend in digitization and related production automation. WAAM (Wire and Arc Additive Manufacturing) is an alternative additive technology that used an electric arc as a heat source and filler material in the form of welding wire. Nowadays, when is modern to digitize manufacturing production, WAAM process can also be designed using off-line programming tools and 3D simulations of the robot that welds whole welded structure. This study explores the use of simulations with this technology. It primarily deals with the possibilities of moving and lifting the welding torch to the next layer. The reverse engineering principle is also used here. The principle of reverse engineering is used to compare off-line and on-line programming. The results proved that the simulation software can also be used as a control tool and further, this method greatly accelerates the creation of complex programs.
