Experimental research of mercury adsorption from flue gas
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This report represents an evaluation of the research on reducing Hg from flue gas by solid sorbents injection into the flue gas duct at the outlet of the fluidized-bed boiler placed at the Czech Technical University laboratories in Prague. Used sorbents were supplied by the Lhoist Recherche et Development S.A. Company. Experimental tests were carried out from 30th August to 9th September 2021. Three continuous analysers were used during those tests to measure the concentration of total HgT with speciation, i.e. atomic form Hg0 and oxidized form Hg2+. Combusted fuel samples, fly ash from the second pass of the boiler, fly ash from the mechanical solid particle separator (cyclone) and from Fabric filter were thereafter analysed. Samples of bed ash were not taken due to the known distribution of Hg during combustion. Based on the research approx. max 0.01 % of the total Hg capture is captured on the bed ash and therefore it is not necessary to take those samples.
