Thermochromic paints with Leuco dye pigment are usually prepared by manually mixing the thermochromic pigment into the base paint because of possible damage. In this work, two kinds of high-speed stirrers were used for the preparation of paints and the effect on the mechanical properties of the final coating was monitored. For better predictability of the overall service life, the properties of the original coatings (created in 2018) and newly created with the original paint materials (2021) were compared. The results show that the coatings are usable even after long-term storage.
