Design of new tribometer for evaluating tribological conditions in sheet metal forming
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Today, there is an effort to produce maximally efficient products, as it saves energy and can dramatically lower the cost of production. One way to reach this goal is using numerical simulations to find the perfect production conditions. In sheet metal forming, one can put several initial conditions in numerical simulation software. These variables are e.g. coefficient of friction, contact pressure, topography, lubrication or temperature. The coefficient of friction is often simplified and doesn’t much correspond with reality. Temperature in sheet metal forming can be high and so it can significantly affect the whole process. The goal of this paper is to design a new tribometer based on the strip-drawing test. On this tribometer, it should be possible to evaluate influence of individual tribological conditions (contact pressure, lubrication, and temperature) on coefficient of friction and therefore get accurate variables for the numerical simulation software.
