The production of the car body parts is made of a material with a high formability. The mechanical properties of the material are defined by the relevant standards. These material grades are supplied by various manufacturers. In terms of properties, the materials used are characterised by a range of mechanical property values. There are also differences in properties between material suppliers. This paper compares the properties of selected grades of deep drawing steel produced by different suppliers. These properties influence formability, which can also be reflected in terms of the stability of the pressing process. This comparison is also particularly important for numerical simulations, the material properties are defined by a material card for numerical simulations.
