-COOLING OF SLA-PRINTED INSERTS FOR PLASTIC INJECTION MOLDING
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The production of injection molds for plastic parts is highly expensive and typically takes several months. Therefore, it is essential to ensure that the design of the plastic part is correct and meets all functional requirements. There are various methods for producing plastic part prototypes; however, not all of them are capable of accurately replicating the properties of the final plastic part to a degree sufficient for validation and certification. To achieve meaningful prototyping results, it is necessary to produce the part using a material that closely matches the one intended for actual operation. For this reason, a method based on prototype mold inserts for plastic injection molding was selected. This paper primarily focuses on the heat dissipation from the mold inserts during the injection molding process, as well as the methodology for designing cooling channels for these inserts.
