This paper deals with heat pipes controlled by the static magnetic field and with an important side effect - working fluid quantity. Heat pipes are able to provide a very effective heat transport. Several standard methods of the regulation are commonly used in that case. In previous experiments implemented in our laboratory the significant influence of magnetic field on heat conductance of the selected heat pipe has been observed. A special heat pipe has been realized for that purpose and pure oxygen has been chosen as a working fluid for its suitable magnetic properties. The heat pipe operation and the magnetic field controllability depend on a number of different parameters. The paper is focused on the influence of working fluid quantity. Some important results of our experiments will be presented and discussed in the text in detail.
