This paper deals with voltage regulation at a distribution level. Based on the boom of renewable generation in Czech Republic or generally in the Europe there were appeared an issue with an inappropriate voltage regulation of this dispersed generation. Several approaches were adopted by distribution system operators from least common constant reactive power delivery to more frequent constant power factor or constant voltage regulation at a point of connection. The work of this paper has been related toadoption of an adaptive control scheme for a photovoltaic power plant, which is connected via inverter to the grid to provide a reactive power delivery or absorption, to achieve appropriate settings of PI control parameters, which lead to better voltagequality. The inverter with pulse-width modulation has been used in this study.
