Influence of Music on Human Electroencephalogram and Emotions
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Our research deals with EEG monitored during listening to music and with emotions evoked by that music. Based on results collected inour early experiments we performed experiment looking for the correlation between changes of EEG and emotions. The numberof subjects recruited from students and researchers of ESEO Angers was 23. During first part of experiment subjects were listening to the sequence consisted of eight music tracks with different content (rock ballad, classic music, relax music, pop, chanson, disco, speech, hard rock). Duration of each track was 40 seconds. While they were listening to the sequence, their EEG was monitored. Subjects were sitting on a chair on dark conditions. During second part of the experiment, they were listening to the same sequence and they filled the form rating their emotions in five categories - arousal, valence, dominance, liking and familiarity. Defined rating scale was represented by numbers and manikins or words (in the case of familiarity).
